

The Dragon Ring Part FourThe horse clopped its way along the path, and each step jarred the bruised ribs of his back. Gulping down pain bravely, he guided the lethargic animal to a grassy circle, and allowed it to lower its head to graze. The fat meshrach kept an inferior stable, with lazy, fat horses. When the meshrach indicated that part of the new duties would be to keep these lardy animals exercised, hed nearly laughed. The horses wanted no exercise but the working of their jaws as they chomped oats and hay. But this was a chance to escape from the horror for a bit, so he was somewhat grateful. The Dragon Ring Part ThreeThey slipped through a strange metal door with a wheel in the center, and into a whole new vision. Gone was the drab gray. Instead the walls were plush with gold and deep purple. His feet sank into deep carpet of scarlet. A rich, musky scent perfumed the air. Subtle music played, though he could see no musicians. Pictures graced the walls. He knew he was goggling, stunned by the contrast, and tried to stop his awe. It wasnt dignified. His heart wasnt obeying though. It still thumped uncomfortably in his chest.The Dragon Ring Part Three
Then they were through another door, of wood this time, and then another that led to a sumptuous bedchamber.
